Love is more than a feeling

Week five has come and went so super fast. I cannot believe their are only two weeks left of camp. It went way to fast and I’m not looking forward to it coming to an end. This week the Jupiter team from Florida came ready too go and full of energy.  Our kids this week was from Livada, Tarnaveni, and Balauseri. It was really fun because the kids from Fundatia Loc we already built relationship with and also goes to get to know some of the other amazing kids from Tarnaveni, and Balauseri. The Lord is really changing me and my perspective on a lot of things. One of the main things I’m learning this week and during this whole time is the power the Love. As Americans we use the word love like its nothing. It’s a word we throw around a lot. But have you ever thought about what the word love truly means? Love is not a feeling it's a choice. Love gets messy at times and hurts a lot. But true love is real and not fake. True love was shown from Jesus dying on the cross. Love is most of the time not a fairy tell picture like we see it in movies. But true love cost you something. These kids don't need to be told you love them what they need to know is that Jesus loves them. We need to love everyone like Christ loves.  God will be glorified if we are loving liked he loved us.

John 15:9-17 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.  If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another."
